Christmas Cookies
When it comes to Christmas, we tend to think of Santa, trees, elves, and toys. Let's not forget about all the goodies. You have fruitcake, candy canes, buckeyes, hard Christmas candy and of course cookies. I don't know about you but the cookies are my favorite, especially the homemade decorated ones.
For the last few years, my kids and I have been making candy and baking cookies. We have come to really like the decorating part. Each person gathers around the table and puts their artistic selves to work. I must say we sometimes amaze ourselves with the outcome. I do believe we get better every year.
My husband has decided that he is the ultimate cookie taster. Although you can't go to wrong with store bought dough. I do however make the icing from scratch. Either way, we try to accommodate him by accidentally messing a few up so he can taste them. It makes him happy and the kids are happy to oblige.
After our Christmas making/baking is finished, we neatly pack and distribute them to friends and family. This is our way of saying Merry Christmas from our house to yours.

Making Memories
Children are very fragile human beings. It is up to their parents to see that they have what they need. You know make sure their fed, clothed, and taught. However, it is also imperative to give them happy memories.
It's my belief that children benefit better when they have a good strong family that supports them and loves them. Therefore, making memories to last a lifetime will inspire them to grow with love and passion. They will truly grow up understanding what family is about.
It's truly a blessing in today's world to have a family. To have people around you that love and care about you. People that can be there for you no matter what life throws at you. Parents have the responsibility to make this happen for their children.
Make happy memories with your kids. Show them life can be more than hardship and turmoil. Especially show them love. These things are important not only for their future but their children's future.
