It's been awhile

Its been awhile since I've written
I guess there's so much not to say
Whether I did or didn't
It wouldn't matter anyway

Does anyone really care
For so much goes on in life
Do we really need to share
For the almighty critic knife

Either you say to much
Or you don't say enough
Are the words the magic touch
Or are they just to rough

If the truth be told
And God knows it might
May make you cold
Or make you right

Depending on who is asked
Its a matter of opinion
Although it may be masked
About what was written

Will it even matter
Years ahead
Or will the words just shatter
And be left for dead
